Attending conferences often presents challenges for participants with families. EMBO is pleased to offer childcare services during The EMBO Meeting.
- Children between the ages of 18 months and 13 years can be registered for on-site childcare from experienced and licensed providers speaking a range of languages including English, German, French, Italian and Spanish.
- Only full-day care is available and numbers are limited. Precise times will be available shortly.
- On-site catering will offer snacks, refreshments and lunch.
- A "late-service option" may be available upon request for parents attending the special evening lectures or activities.
- Onsite childcare is funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung: the service will be free of charge for the first 20 children for female participants. On a first come first served basis.
- Useful tip: children under age of six travel free on Vienna´s public transport network. Children under the age of fifteen travel free on Sundays, public holidays and during Vienna school holidays.

Childcare @ The EMBO Meeting 2009 - feedback from a parent:
"I would like to let you know how much our kids (and ourselves) enjoyed childcare during The EMBO Meeting 2009 in Amsterdam. Helga Duczek's team with Helga, Sophia, Eva & Dominik was excellent.
Through their full-day programme, our kids discovered Amsterdam and made new friends. Childcare should definitively be available during the coming EMBO meetings.
It allowed my wife and I to register to and enjoy an excellent meeting (for the first time) and our kids to have a great time. Again, thank you for having provided and organized childcare at The EMBO Meeting!"
