MSI-EMBO Joint Travel Award Print E-mail

Criteria for the Award of an MSI/EMBO Joint Travel Award include the following:

  • Applicants must be full-time postgraduate students with written evidence of their student status (signed by a supervisor), or be full-time post-doctoral researchers.

  • Applicant must be registered members of the Microscopical Society of Ireland (MSI) prior to their application for an award. Membership forms are available on the Society website (www.microscopy.ie).

  • Applicants must make a contribution to The EMBO Meeting, either as an oral presentation or as a poster presentation. The abstract submitted to The EMBO Meeting must also be included on the application form for the award (PDF here).

  •  The travel grant offered by MSI will only be made available on acceptance of an abstract to The EMBO Meeting.

  • Applicants must not have previously been awarded an MSI Student Travel Bursary.

  • Applications must be received by the MSI Committee by July 27th 2011.
